In addition to psychotherapy, I also offer instruction in the theory and practice of mindfulness (vipassana, insight meditation; and metta, loving kindness meditation).
Mindfulness not only can help to reduce suffering but can also lead to an increase in feelings of equanimity and well-being. As we begin to better understand how we consistently seek and push away things that are already impermanent, we begin to understand some of the deeper roots of our suffering.
I have been a practitioner of mindfulness for many years, including having sat multiple week-long silent retreats. I have also taught mindfulness to both patients and clinicians. For those seeking a more Eastern path to confronting their challenges, it would be my privilege to help.
