I am a licensed clinical psychologist, working with adolescents and adults in private practice. I am also a psychologist and Associate Director of the Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital, an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, and a candidate at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.
I graduated from Brandeis University summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with degrees in philosophy and psychology. I then trained in the clinical science doctoral program at Temple University, where my teachers were world-renowned leaders in the research and treatment of anxiety. I completed my internship at Columbia University Medical Center and a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
My clinical work draws on cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, dialectical behavioral, and psychodynamic psychotherapies. My research looks at the predictors and mechanisms of treatment, in the hope of improving outcomes. I am the recipient of national clinical awards from various institutions, including the American Psychological Association, the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, the Beck Institute, and the American Psychoanalytic Association.
